MEV on Solana is generated from tips that are submitted to network validators to sequence transactions in a particular order (such as to capture an arbitrage opportunity); stakers receive these tips as rewards, boosting the overall yield from validating network transactions. Staking SOL with JitoSOL allows users to earn both staking and MEV rewards while maintaining transferability and composability in DeFi.
