GEORGE TOWN, CAYMAN ISLANDS — [May 22, 2026] Core Foundation and Maple International Operations SPC, acting solely on behalf of and for the account of its BTC Staking Segregated Portfolio 1 ("Maple"), today announced that they have reached a full and final settlement of the matters that had been the subject of an arbitration commenced in September 2025 and proceedings before the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands under FSD 268 of 2025.
The settlement provides for the mutual release of all claims and counterclaims between the parties, and for the discontinuance of the arbitration and the Cayman court proceedings on consent terms. The financial and other terms of the settlement are confidential.
The settlement is not, and is not to be construed as, an admission of liability or wrongdoing by any party. The parties consider the resolution to be in the best interests of their respective stakeholders and a positive step for the broader Bitcoin yield and staking sector. With this matter resolved, the parties intend to refocus on their respective protocols and on supporting the continued growth of the digital asset ecosystem.
In connection with the settlement, Maple will proceed with the launch of its Bitcoin yield product, syrupBTC, in the ordinary course. Core Foundation remains focused on advancing the Core network and expanding its Bitcoin product offering, including continued support for the validators, builders and ecosystem partners driving growth across the Core ecosystem.
